Samsung Accuses Patent Lawyer Of Double Crossing In Dispute With Rambus

Law360, New York (June 27, 2005, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Chip designer Rambus Inc. secretly hired a Samsung Electronics Co. in-house attorney to advise it on suing chip makers and plot patent litigation strategy while he was on the payroll of both companies, the Korean electronics giant claims in court documents.

In papers filed with Delaware's Court of Chancery, Samsung says Rambus aided and abetted former Samsung lawyer Neil Steinberg in allegedly breaching fiduciary duties in 1998, when he was working for Rambus, but remained on Samsung's payroll.
