DOJ Defends E-Book Settlements From Apple's, B&N's Gripes

Law360, Los Angeles (July 23, 2012, 5:09 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Department of Justice won't alter settlements with three publishers accused of conspiring with Apple Inc. to hike e-book prices, it said Monday, dismissing Apple, Barnes & Noble Inc. and others' claims that regulators are trying to impose an unfair business model on the industry.
