Liberty Mutual Ruling Could Trigger Calif. Classification Feuds

Law360, San Diego (July 23, 2012, 10:56 PM EDT) -- A California appeals court on Monday determined that a class of insurance claims adjusters for Liberty Mutual Insurance Co. and Golden Eagle Insurance Corp. was entitled to overtime compensation, a move that could open the door to more misclassification litigation against employers in the state if the decision stands.
