NY Extends Tax Credits For Post-Production Film Industry

Law360, Los Angeles (July 24, 2012, 7:37 PM EDT) -- New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo on Tuesday signed legislation extending tax incentives to filmmakers perform post-production work within the state, a move aimed at attracting more television and film projects.

The law increases the percentage of tax credits available to film post-production projects from 10 percent to 30 percent in the New York metropolitan area, including Dutchess, Nassau, Orange, Putnam, Rockland, Suffolk and Westchester counties.
