Broadband Research Founder Pleads Guilty To Insider Trading

Law360, New York (July 25, 2012, 3:10 PM EDT) -- Broadband Research LLC founder John Kinnucan, who made calls threatening prosecutors before his arrest for insider trading, pled guilty Wednesday in New York to charges that he passed non-public information about SanDisk Corp. and other companiest to his clients.

Kinnucan's Portland, Ore.-based research firm was accused of providing hedge funds confidential information bought from insiders at public companies. Kinnucan pled guilty to two counts of securities fraud and a count of conspiracy before U.S. District Judge Deborah Batts.
