DLA Piper Says Real Estate Firm Skipped Out On Legal Fee Tab

Law360, New York (July 26, 2012, 12:36 PM EDT) -- DLA Piper told a California state court on Wednesday that its former client, privately held real estate firm BentleyForbes LLC, has failed to cough up more than $242,000 that the law firm is allegedly owed for “various legal services” it provided.

The plaintiff contends it sent a final notice in May to BentleyForbes demanding payment under a seven-year-old agreement, but took to the courts to resolve the dispute after receiving neither a payment nor a request to move to arbitration.
