China Tells EU Costs, Not Dumping, Drive Solar Panel Price

Law360, New York (July 27, 2012, 5:01 PM EDT) -- China’s Ministry of Commerce on Friday fought back against allegations of dumping solar panels in the European Union, arguing that the cheap price of its solar products is due to the low cost of raw materials and technological advancements in the industry.

Furthermore, China said that it hopes to resolve the feud with solar panel producers in the EU through consultations and cooperation in order to jointly safeguard the industry as a whole, according to a statement from the ministry.
