ICE To Transition Energy Swaps To Futures

Law360, New York (July 31, 2012, 6:42 PM EDT) -- IntercontinentalExchange Inc., a large operator of regulated futures exchanges and other derivatives, said Monday that it would transition cleared products on its over-the-counter energy market into futures as new laws like the Dodd-Frank Act clamp down on swaps markets.

The products will continue be listed and traded on the ICE platform and cleared at ICE Clear Europe, and block trades will continue to be available subject to applicable requirements, the Atlanta-based company said.
