Siemens Wins $462M Contract To Build Australia Wind Farm

Law360, New York (August 1, 2012, 3:12 PM EDT) -- New Zealand alternative energy company TrustPower Ltd. has tapped German engineering giant Siemens AG to build a $461.7 million wind farm in South Australia using groundbreaking wind turbine technology, TrustPower said Wednesday.

Under the terms of the contract, Siemens will engineer, build and maintain the wind farm, which will include 90 wind turbines, TrustPower said. Siemens will also be responsible for connecting the wind farm, known as Snowtown II, to Australia's power grid.
