Bristol-Myers Squibb Exec Accused of Insider Trading

Law360, New York (August 2, 2012, 1:48 PM EDT) -- An executive at Bristol-Myers Squibb Co. has been arrested in New Jersey and charged with illegally trading on inside information concerning the pharmaceutical giant's potential acquisitions, federal authorities announced Thursday.

Robert Ramnarine, an assistant treasurer for capital markets, faces three counts of securities fraud for alleged insider trading on three BMS acquisition targets — ZymoGenetics Inc., Pharmasset Inc. and Amylin Pharmaceuticals Inc., according to U.S. Attorney Paul J. Fishman.
