Senate Passes Bill To Curb Improper Government Payments

Law360, New York (August 2, 2012, 6:11 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Senate on Wednesday unanimously passed a bill designed to crack down on federal payment errors by requiring improved monitoring of payments to contractors and benefit recipients as well as increased efforts to recover any undue payments, part of a wider push to eliminate funds wasted by federal agencies.
