Art Storage Co. Can't Move Long-Lost Lichtenstein Painting

Law360, New York (August 3, 2012, 5:28 PM EDT) -- An art dealer's widow has won a court order blocking a New York City art storage facility from moving a painting by late pop artist Roy Lichtenstein that re-emerged last week after it went missing 42 years ago, her lawyers said Friday.

New York State Supreme Court Judge O. Peter Sherwood granted a bid Tuesday by Barbara B. Castelli, widow of art dealer Leo Castelli, for a temporary restraining order to prevent Hayes NY Business LLC from moving Lichtenstein's black-and-white painting titled “Electric Cord,” according to...
