AmEx Antitrust Appeal May Carry Weight In Employment Realm

Law360, New York (August 6, 2012, 10:26 PM EDT) -- American Express Co. has asked the U.S. Supreme Court to weigh in on a Second Circuit decision in an antitrust suit that invalidated a class action waiver the court said could keep plaintiffs from pursuing federal claims, and the high court's answer could help clarify the enforceability of class waivers in the employment context, attorneys say.
