UK Allots £100M For Clean Energy Projects

Law360, New York (August 6, 2012, 7:21 PM EDT) -- The U.K. government on Monday announced a green investment initiative that will provide £100 million ($156 million) in initial funding to two firms, Equitix Ltd. and Sustainable Development Capital LLP, to encourage foreign and domestic investment in nondomestic energy-efficiency projects.

U.K. Green Investments, based in the U.K.'s Department for Business, Innovation and Skills announced contracts for £100 million in initial funding, which the government said will pave the way for the U.K. Green Investment Bank expected to open later this year after it gets state aid...
