9th Circ. Revives Identify Theft Suit Against Chase, FIA

Law360, New York (August 8, 2012, 3:15 PM EDT) -- The Ninth Circuit on Tuesday said a cancer survivor whose identity was stolen by a hospital worker can sue Chase Bank USA NA and Bank of America Corp. subsidiary FIA Card Services NA under the Fair Credit Reporting Act for failing to properly block fraudulent accounts.
