Judge Pares Washington Whistleblower's Retaliation Suit

Law360, New York (August 8, 2012, 7:13 PM EDT) -- A federal judge on Wednesday dismissed part of a lawsuit brought by a whistleblowing Washington civil servant who claims he was fired for complaining about government waste.

U.S. District Judge Gladys Kessler said that Ramesh Sharma, a former employee of the District of Columbia Office of Contracting & Procurement, failed to adequately plead claims under the False Claims Act. The office handles contracting for the capital.
