China, Taiwan Sign Pair Of Investment-Shielding Pacts

Law360, New York (August 9, 2012, 4:59 PM EDT) -- China and Taiwan on Thursday reportedly inked a pair of trade agreements targeting investment protection and promotion and improved customs cooperation, with both sides pledging to provide each other’s investors and investment projects with "just and fair treatment.”

Under the terms of the pacts, China and Taiwan will impart equal treatment on investors from both countries, according to a report from Xinhua, China’s state-run news agency.
