Sens. Urge ITC To Side With Intel, HP On Processor Patents

Law360, New York (August 9, 2012, 7:03 PM EDT) -- Oregon's two U.S. senators warned the U.S. International Trade Commission on Wednesday that a ruling against Intel Corp., Apple Inc. and Hewlett-Packard Co. in a patent infringement investigation would hurt American companies and imperil thousands of jobs.

U.S. Senators Ron Wyden and Jeff Merkley, both Democrats, urged the ITC to rule against X2Y Attenuators LLC in an investigation into whether the tech giants have been importing microprocessors that violate five of X2Y's patents.
