Calif. Court Squashes Class Arbitration In Pest Co. Wage Row

Law360, New York (August 10, 2012, 5:10 PM ET) -- A California appeals court on Thursday overturned a ruling that would have allowed a group of Truly Nolen of America employees to arbitrate their wage-and-hour claims against the pest control company as a class.

California's Fourth District Court of Appeal vacated a decision by a state superior court, which had previously ruled that Truly Nolen pest control technicians who accused the company of failing to pay their full wages and provide required breaks could not be forced to arbitrate their claims as individuals.
