Army Corps Beats Challenge To Mountaintop Removal Permit

Law360, New York (August 10, 2012, 7:41 PM EDT) -- A West Virginia federal judge on Friday dismissed the remaining two claims in a suit brought by environmental groups challenging a mountaintop removal permit the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers issued to Highland Mining Co., saying the Corps fully examined the environmental impacts, in compliance with federal laws.
