Romney's VP Choice Defines Clean Energy Battle Lines

Paul Ryan as his running mate puts the GOP's nearly partywide hostility toward clean energy incentive programs front and center, and has already drawn fire from the industry's backers.

Ryan, a Wisconsin Republican and chairman of the House Budget Committee, staked out his opposition to renewable energy tax credits and loan programs in a budget plan released earlier this year, and his positions align neatly with those of Romney and prominent Republican lawmakers.
