Google Picks Up Frommer's Brand From John Wiley & Sons

Law360, New York (August 13, 2012, 6:51 PM EDT) -- Google Inc. has made another foray into the travel industry, buying the popular Frommer's brand and other travel publishing assets from New Jersey publishing conglomerate John Wiley & Sons Inc., Wiley said Friday.

The Silicon Valley-based media giant acquired all of Wiley's travel assets as the Hoboken, N.J.-based company looks to sell off its noncore business operations in a host of industries.
