Atlantic City Union Sues Over Blocked Ballot Measures

Law360, New York (August 13, 2012, 6:45 PM EDT) -- Atlantic City, N.J.'s largest casino workers' union sued the city on Monday for blocking a public vote on proposed measures that target the employment practices of nonunion establishments such as Revel, the city's newest casino resort.

In a complaint in Atlantic County Superior Court, Unite Here Local 54 claims that the city has improperly rejected its initiative petitions to bar term limits for employees and implement other workplace standards.
