Judge Tells NLRB, Condo Manager To Settle Layoff Dispute

Law360, New York (August 14, 2012, 6:55 PM EDT) -- The federal judge weighing the National Labor Relations Board's temporary injunction action against the manager of a New Jersey condominium complex that laid off 67 unionized workers ordered the parties Tuesday to try and settle the dispute.

Following a hearing in the case, U.S. District Judge Stanley Chesler directed the NLRB, the Galaxy Towers Condominium Association and Local 124 of the Recycling, Airport, Industrial and Service Employees Union to participate in a settlement conference that would run daily until ordered otherwise by the court.
