Emerging Markets See Drop In Private Equity Deals: Report

Law360, New York (August 14, 2012, 2:53 PM EDT) -- Private equity fundraising for emerging markets investments tapered off in the first half of 2012 as big-ticket deals fell by one-third compared to the same span last year, according to an Emerging Markets Private Equity Association report released Tuesday.

The emerging-markets lag is in line with a broader private equity industry trend, where large transactions have slowed in an uncertain global economy.
