J&J To Nix Some Cancer-Linked Agents From Beauty Products

Law360, New York (August 15, 2012, 2:53 PM EDT) -- Johnson & Johnson on Wednesday announced plans to remove certain chemicals from its cosmetic products, responding to complaints from consumers concerning ingredients that have been linked to cancer and other health problems, including birth defects and diabetes.

The company has been criticized by the advocacy group Campaign For Safe Cosmetics over use of the ingredients, which the group says includes human carcinogens and dangerous hormone disrupters.
