Facebook Taps Patton Boggs To Lobby On Privacy Issues

Law360, New York (August 16, 2012, 10:02 PM EDT) -- Facebook Inc. on Tuesday ramped up its efforts to influence federal privacy and cybersecurity measures by hiring three Patton Boggs LLP attorneys — including former Federal Communications Commission Chairman Kevin Martin — to lobby Congress on these issues.

Patton Boggs partners Martin and Jeffrey Turner, as well as senior public policy advisor Emmanuel Rossman, will act as lobbyists for “issues related to technology and Internet policy, including personal privacy, protecting children, advancing online security and tax policy issues,” according to a congressional lobbying disclosure filing....
