Judge Won't Revive $2B FCA Suit Against Beth Israel

Law360, New York (August 16, 2012, 4:20 PM EDT) -- A New York federal judge refused Tuesday to reopen a $2 billion qui tam suit alleging Beth Israel Medical Center submitted fraudulent Medicare reimbursement requests despite claims by a whistleblower that damning evidence had emerged after the suit was dismissed.
