CBS Drops Copyright Suit Against ABC's 'Glass House'

Law360, New York (August 17, 2012, 7:39 PM EDT) -- CBS Broadcasting Inc. on Friday voluntarily dropped its copyright infringement lawsuit that claimed ABC Inc. stole the concept for its reality series "The Glass House" from CBS' long-running "Big Brother," saying the rival's low ratings made the case unnecessary.

CBS filed a notice of voluntary dismissal in California federal court, and the company released a statement that said the suit wasn't worth pursuing in light of a less-than-stellar performance by "The Glass House."
