NH High Court Overturns Class Cert. In Philip Morris Suit

Law360, New York (August 21, 2012, 6:14 PM EDT) -- New Hampshire's highest court on Tuesday reversed the certification of a class of smokers accusing Philip Morris USA Inc. of falsely representing tar and nicotine exposure levels in so-called light cigarettes, ruling class members' awareness of the products' risks varied too widely.
