FTC Pounds Infomercial Co. Over Weight Loss Claims

Law360, New York (October 10, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The Federal Trade Commission has targeted the makers of an infomercial for allegedly deceiving consumers by promoting a weight loss book that claims to be “easy” but relies on severe dieting restrictions and daily injections of a drug that has not been approved for weight loss by the Food and Drug Administration.
