Customers Call Foul On Vitamin Co.'s Cartilage-Healing Claims

Law360, New York (August 23, 2012, 3:34 PM EDT) -- A New York man filed a proposed class action Monday accusing vitamin manufacturer 21st Century HealthCare Inc. of duping senior citizens into buying glucosamine-chondroitin supplements that falsely promised to restore lost cartilage.

Lee David Auerbach says he purchased the “triple-strength” tablets at a Rite Aid store last year, enticed by a label stating that it promoted cartilage regeneration, but was disappointed when the pills failed to deliver results.
