Engineers' Union Says Boeing Stifled Labor Communications

Law360, New York (August 23, 2012, 8:50 PM EDT) -- A union representing engineers with The Boeing Co. has filed a charge with the National Labor Relations Board accusing the company of telling new hires they were prohibited from speaking with other employees about working conditions, the union said Wednesday.

The Society of Professional Engineering Employees in Aerospace lodged the charges with the board on Tuesday, claiming that Boeing threatened employees with disciplinary action if they spoke to each other about wages, hours and working conditions.
