Ex-Allen & Overy Partner Indicted On Child Porn Charges

Law360, New York (August 23, 2012, 8:43 PM EDT) -- A former Allen & Overy LLP partner was in New Jersey federal court on Thursday facing additional charges in a newly unsealed indictment alleging that he downloaded and shared hundreds of images of young children being sexually exploited and abused.

The eight-count indictment charges Edward De Sear, a onetime securitization partner in the firm's international capital markets group, with three counts of advertising child pornography, four counts of distributing child pornography and one count of possessing child pornography, U.S. Attorney Paul J.
