DRAM Plaintiffs Seek Preliminary Settlement Approval

Law360, New York (October 11, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Eight months after announcing their intention to settle an antitrust class action suit with Dynamic Random Access Memory manufacturers Samsung Group and Winbond Electronics Corp., plaintiffs in the suit on Wednesday asked for a preliminary order approving the deal.

The indirect purchaser plaintiffs asked U.S. District Judge Phyllis J. Hamilton to hold a hearing on the matter on Nov. 14, or as soon as possible thereafter. The order would grant preliminary approval of class action settlements with Samsung and Winbond.
