Home Construction Cos. Settle Defect Fight With Insurers

Law360, Chicago (August 27, 2012, 5:17 PM EDT) -- A group of home construction companies dropped their claims against Lexington Insurance Co. and other insurers in California federal court Friday after reaching deals to settle a suit over coverage for allegedly defective work performed by subcontractors and suppliers.

Plaintiffs McMillin Management Services LP, Corky McMillin Construction Services Inc. and Imperial Valley Residential Builders LP filed their stipulation to have Lexington, American International Specialty Lines Insurance Co. and National Union Fire Insurance Co. of Pittsburgh dismissed with prejudice just over two years after launching the case...
