Debevoise Reps Clayton Dubilier In $1B David’s Bridal Deal

Law360, New York (August 28, 2012, 12:24 PM EDT) -- New York private equity firm Clayton Dubilier & Rice LLC has agreed to buy David's Bridal Inc. in a sale that values the wedding day fashion retailer at $1.05 billion, the buyer said Tuesday.

The deal unloads David's Bridal, known for its low-cost wedding and bridesmaid gowns, from private equity firms TPG Capital and Leonard Green & Partners LP, which snatched up the company in 2007 for about $750 million. Leonard Green will hang onto an unspecified minority stake, the firms said.
