Janssen Again Targets Lupin, Others Over Generic Prezista

Law360, New York (August 28, 2012, 7:23 PM EDT) -- Janssen Products LP sued Lupin Pharmaceuticals Inc., Mylan Pharmaceuticals Inc. and Teva Pharmaceuticals USA Inc. in New Jersey federal court Friday in its latest effort to block the three drugmakers from releasing generic versions of its HIV medication Prezista.

Horsham, Pa.-based Janssen — a subsidiary of Johnson & Johnson — alleges that plans by Lupin, Mylan and Teva to gain regulatory approval to make and market generic versions of Prezista infringe a patent issued by the U.S. Patent and Trademark office last week.
