E-Trade, TradeKing Settle Multistate Antitrust Probe

Law360, New York (August 30, 2012, 6:29 PM EDT) -- Attorneys general from Connecticut, Missouri and Iowa reached settlement agreements Thursday with E*Trade Financial Corp. and TradeKing Group Inc. in an investigation into potential violations of antitrust law in the retail securities brokerage industry.

The states have agreed to close their investigation into E*Trade and TradeKing in exchange for the companies' ongoing cooperation in the investigation as well as their agreement to create and implement an antitrust compliance policy and training program for their employees, according to an announcement by Connecticut Attorney General George Jepsen....
