Ex-Broadcom, Altera Exec Cops To Insider Trading

Law360, New York (September 4, 2012, 6:30 PM EDT) -- A former executive at technology companies Broadcom Corp. and Altera Corp. pled guilty Tuesday to insider trading, admitting he passed confidential information to a figure in an alleged Dell Inc. and Nvidia Corp. trading ring.

Hyung Lim, a 46-year-old California resident, told U.S. District Judge Richard J. Sullivan in New York he had provided Danny Kuo, a former Whittier Trust Co. analyst, insider information about Altera and Nvidia, where his friend worked.
