SD Convention Center Beats Cleaning Antitrust Verdict, Suit

Law360, New York (September 6, 2012, 2:21 PM EDT) -- A California federal judge on Wednesday dismissed a suit alleging the San Diego Convention Center monopolized cleaning services during trade shows and interfered with a janitorial vendor’s contract, overruling a partial jury verdict against the center.

U.S. District Judge Anthony J. Battaglia granted the convention center’s motion for judgment as a matter of law on two antitrust claims and one contract claim stemming from its policy of using in-house cleaning staff to perform all cleaning services at trade shows.
