Canadian Watchdog Issues New Privacy Guidance Report

Law360, New York (September 7, 2012, 6:05 PM EDT) -- The Information and Privacy Commissioner of Ontario on Wednesday released a guidance paper that lays out steps organizations can take to efficiently turn privacy policies into everyday practices.

While acknowledging there is no one-size-fits-all approach, the commissioner, Ann Cavoukian, said the paper was designed to put forth practical guidance and examples of steps that an organization should take to make sure that a privacy policy is being followed.
