Judge Tentatively Grants Qualcomm New Trial

Law360, New York (October 17, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- If a judge's tentative Monday ruling that cast doubts on the pre-Seagate standards he used in deciding Broadcomm Corp.'s willful infringement claims against it becomes final, Qualcomm Inc. will get a shot at a new trial — and a chance to keep the $39.3 million it was ordered to pay Broadcom.
