Wash. High Court Says Anti-Gay Bias Law Isn't Retroactive

Law360, New York (September 13, 2012, 9:42 PM EDT) -- The Washington Supreme Court ruled Thursday that the state's 2006 expansion of its anti-discrimination law to include sexual orientation cannot be applied retroactively, but that preamendment incidents can support claims for a hostile work environment that continued after the change took effect.
