NFL Stadium Project's Enviro Impact Report Clears LA Panel

Law360, New York (September 14, 2012, 7:58 PM EDT) -- A Los Angeles planning commission on Thursday recommended an environmental impact report for a proposed $1.5 billion football stadium backed by billionaire Philip Anschutz's entertainment company, paving the way for its final certification.

The unanimous vote sends the EIR to the city council for consideration on Sept. 28, where it could get officially certified to the objections of several environmental groups who have sued the state over an expedited judicial review process tied to the project.
