$19M BP Gas Royalty Settlement Gets OK Without Chesapeake

Law360, New York (September 18, 2012, 1:11 PM EDT) -- A Kansas federal judge on Monday approved a $19 million BP America Production Co. deal to end allegations of royalty underpayments on natural gas leases after excluding Chesapeake Energy Corp. from the settlement class due to conflicts of interest with the rest of the plaintiffs.
