Facebook, Apple, Others Targeted In Spate Of Cloud IP Suits

Law360, New York (September 18, 2012, 3:18 PM EDT) -- PersonalWeb Technologies LLC sued several tech industry heavyweights Monday in Texas federal court, accusing Facebook Inc., Apple Inc., Microsoft Corp. and others of infringing patented technology for cloud computing, distributed search engine file systems and content-addressable storage.

Apple and Microsoft were each accused of infringing the same six patents, while social networking giant Facebook and Yahoo Inc. each allegedly infringed three of those.
