Medicare Advantage Enrollment Up, HHS Says

Law360, New York (September 19, 2012, 9:59 PM EDT) -- The Obama administration on Wednesday touted a projected enrollment increase for Medicare Advantage plans — good news for program contractors like UnitedHealthcare and Humana Inc. — but the insurance industry warned that most of the health law's cuts to the program have yet to take effect.

The Department of Health and Human Services announced that enrollment in Medicare Advantage, also known as Medicare Part C, is projected to increase by 11 percent in the next year, with premiums holding steady.
