McKesson Pegged With Price Inflation Claims On 400-Plus Drugs

Law360, New York (September 19, 2012, 5:13 PM EDT) -- The state of Arizona announced Wednesday it has filed a lawsuit against McKesson Corp. alleging the nation’s largest drug wholesaler artificially inflated prices for more than 400 prescription drugs at an expense of millions of dollars to Arizona consumers.

The complaint, filed Friday in Maricopa County Superior Court, alleges that beginning in 2000, several McKesson executives conspired to increase the spread between the average wholesale price and actual acquisition cost of many prescription drugs, including Allegra, Celebrex, Lipitor and Nexium.
