NEC, Harris Settle Patent Lawsuit Over Wireless Gear

Law360, New York (August 4, 2005, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Japanese electronics maker NEC Corp. has settled a lawsuit against wireless network gear maker Harris Corp. over patents for mobile communications technology.

Under the settlement, Harris has agreed to take a nonexclusive license under NEC's Digital Microwave Radio patents. NEC also agreed to dismiss all claims in its lawsuit, the company said in a statement Thursday.
